1998 NB on Ebay $4,000 Buy It Now

Check-out the latest ebay MX5 listing, if you're in the market for the above, requiring some / lots (?) of engine work.

Seller sounds like a plain-talking, straight-shooter.

Kilometres are given as 15,000 in one part of the description, and 150,000 in another.

Sounds like fairly straightforward repairs, replace engine and source new quarter panel paint. Easily achievable for under $1500. God I wish I had the cash for this

It will be interesting to see what it sells for, when, for the sake of $300, someone has bid at the $3,700 start price.

If there had been a But It Now of $4k it would be worth putting in your back yard.

But there isn't a BIN and this seller seems unable to state consistent information even within his own listing.

Run away, as fast as you can.

There was a Buy It Now of $4,000 , but that option disappears when a bid is made. If you go into the bidding history you will see mention of the BIN.

This bloke states that he is in hospital, which might be one major reason why his descriptions aren't word perfect, but, as you say, Caveat Emptor.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Actually, the winning bidder, who was watching the same car not sell on previous listings, with the starting and Buy It Now prices dropping each time it was relisted, wishes he clicked on Buy It Now when it was there at $4000, rather than debating in his mind whether to go series 1 instead of series 2 while someone else placed a first bid, would have saved me $600!

Final price was $4605.55.

Driving down to pick it up tomorrow.
