Got home to find delivery of second hand right rear hub today.
Got to work disassembling everything to install it.
Went to test fit the hub as previous exploratory work has suggested it's the hub that's bent (along with the original bent high tensile bolt I hand sawed through).
Hub has a broken blood wheel stud !
Can't figure out how to remove it, so Skittles sitting on 3 wheels, a trolley jack, a stand and a stocker under the lower control arm over night.

Anyone feeling generous enough to lend a hand tomorrow ?

Oh and Skittle must be female, as if wheels are equivalent to shoes, she's obsessed with them (see NA show us your wheels thread) !

just remove the stud by putting a nut on it then giving it a smack with the hammer. The end of the stud is tapered and will pop out :)

regie's plan sounds good. If it does not work your local friendly brake repairer should be able to press it out and supply a replacement stud.

Able to loosen the stud easy as.
Problem is there is not enough clearance (even after bashing flat the heat/dirt shield) to remove the stud without stripping it.
I'm sooo ropeable atm.
Fancy supplying a hub and housing full well knowing that the only way to remove and replace the broken stud is pressing it out of it's housing, which means expensive and time consuming labour and a new bearing
I wanted to go on the cruise tomorrow with you lot

She's copped a pink slip, CTP, another year of rego and a plethora of work on the right rear.
Will take her to get an alignment and safety check soon to ensure I didn't bork anything else as well.

Pity the gold Simmons are split into pairs atm.
Will have to address that asap, or just put on one of the other sets :P

Loving being back on the road :D
