Try and find wires of the same colour.
Then basically determine the length you wish to extend by...
and cut, solder, and cover joins with heatshrink.
Easy as!
Then cover the new extension ith cable wrap.
That's all I did with mine.
Good luck!
I'm not speeding, I'm just qualifying......

If you don't think you're capable of this correctly, if you buy the wires, you can come over to my place and I'll do it for you.

Otherwise, find a friend with some experience in soldering and get them to do it for you.
It's easy, and should only take 15 minutes or so + preperation time (waiting for the soldering iron to warm up etc).

I live in Greenwich, on the lower north shore.
You can PM me for further details.

You'll need to get the wires and the heatshrink, or if you come over, we can run up the road to Jaycar to grab the bits you'll need.
I'm sure you wouldn't mind having a ride in my SP. :D

I asked FFG the same question a while ago.
And although Benny pretty much confirmed my follow-on question, and not to be insulting to FFG, is it reeeeeally that simple?
What I mean is, does the extra resistance (minute though it may be) of the extra wire affect fuelling?, as I assumed it changes the voltage/ohm value that the EMS reads off the AFM?

Any electrical engineers here?

as i know, jackson racing do have a extension cable which do the same thing, and they look just like a cable and thats it.
so i am thinking, it might be just that simple

It's insignificant as they are orders of magnitude different in resistance. There is also series resistance in the connectors etc...
Small wires make big fuses.
