Note for those using the 'generic' coils. I have a set of the ebay ones and one has failed within 1000km.

I've called a few wreckers and genuine 2nd hand Toyota ones seem pretty easy to get around the $100 mark.

Any idea when things start happening? No hurry, just curious.

Me too. I took mine off the other week and I forgot how weak and flimsy they are. I cringed putting them back on, and will be nice to replace them with something like this that sounds like they'll be made properly!

Motor is not getting built in a hurry.
This is still on the list of things I would like before nearing the end though.
Same as above

Hey guys,

Sorry I have been MIA, I have been quite busy and starting a new job a few weeks ago has not helped much. I don't have access to solidworks just now to finish off the drawing to be laser cut but hopefully I can get that sorted soon. I have been speaking with a local company about perhaps taking on the project to supply all these as there is obviously going to be a little time involved in assembling and sending so many units, I will keep you informed as details are confirmed.

I just wanted to check in and let people know this is still on the cards, hopefully I can get it sorted fairly soon.

Cheers,

Tim

Hit Plohl up for solid works, I'm sure he'd do the drawing if that's what is needed.

Sure Geoff, the more the merrier ;-). We will confirm the list before taking orders anyway, hopefully no one is in too much of a hurry. Sorry again, I will try to get what I have through by the end of the week to the other party who will be involved, so he can go ahead hopefully with a little more haste than myself.

Cheers,

Tim

Yes, One of my ebay ones just failed too at around 1,000km.

I also started with generic ones off ebay and one failed within the first 50km.
Went to the wreckers and bought 4 second hand toyota ones and haven't had any further issues in 12mths and 3000km, which included 10 track days..
