Mmmmm
It is a 5sp NB8A with 150,000kms
I'll give you a quick summary . I did give it a thorough going over.
1. The guy needs to sell? He has had a lot of trouble selling! Why. It does not look like the photo's . These may have been pics of when he bought it.
2. It screams neglect more than abuse maybe.
3. It has a spare set of wheels but the story I got was that one smashed when he hit a rock

Allow for a new set of tyres . ( And rims and front end work?)
3. The bonnett dint is not that smallish . Actaully substantial. New bonnett required? Explained as a roo hit?
4. The front bumper is cracked/ broken . Explained as a roo hit.
5. One of the ac condenser fans is smashed off it's hub. He didn't know about this. The same roo hit? (Or ws it a tailender?)
6. The top needs replacing. It has a 50mm rip on the RHS and is tatty all around the edges.
7. The body is covered in scratches. Some substantial.
8. It has a pod type air filter fitted. Thrashed?
9. It pulls to the left. It had mismatched rims and tyres on it
10. It was re reg in 2006. Why?
11. I wouldn't be certain about it's service history. To be honest I didn't bother checking due to cond of car.
12. Didn't ask about the coil packs.
13. The vents have that sag thing happening.
I am after an NB8B but did consider this for a while. You would need to see it for a honest assesment of your own.
If you want a really neat and good cond car with a FSH then don't go anywhere near it.
If you want a cheap car and are prepared to do a fair fit of panel and paint work and soft top work and tyres etc and prepared to take a risk then go for it.
Me , personally , I will probably be contacting him again myself but I' ll be taking it somewhere to get checked out thoroughly for peace of mind.
I would want to be sure that I wasn't forking out an equal amount of $ for something questionable versus something similar , neat and tidy with a good , known history.
Just my humble opinion for what it's worth
